Ink Markings Film research:

this charity awareness film uses a wet on wet technique using ink but the water is places in specific places so as the ink pleads an image forms.

After Effects Ink Reveal Tests:

these tests are possible effects used for the opening sequence and through out the animation, where relevant, to create an inky visual effect.

Test 1- An Ink reveal of a dot of white ink spreading across a black background. 

Test 2-  An Ink reveal inspired by the opening sequence of Mulan: a black ink line spreading across screen spreading.

Test 3- A line reveal test attempting to create the illusion that the line is being draw across scene by an invisible hand
