After Effects: Puppet pin tool and Lighting in 2.5D

In Mike's tutorial of After Effects the class experimented with a prepared photoshop file. there i learnt to import an entire photoshop file while maintaing separate layers.  This will be really useful with walk cycles.

The layers were then turned into 2.5D so that lighting can be introduced and the positioning of layers can be greatly altered. For example when Micky flies towards camera I changed to orientation to give the illusion that he was moving in a 3D environment. I have three lights- two spot lights on Micky and an ambient light and spot light on Kong.

Kong moves in time with the music and is moved using a pin tool. This tool reminds me of the warp too in photoshop with more control on what is changed.
